Privacy Policy

Who we are

Dossier is a mobile application developed by Kinetic Origin LLC ("Kinetic Origin," "we," "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and how. It applies to the Dossier apps for iOS and Android.

Data stored on your device

The following stay on your device and are never transmitted to us as user data:

• Your resume — imported text and structured resume data, stored in the app's local database.
• Applications and notes — the jobs you track, their status, and anything you write.
• Interview transcripts — the text of your spoken practice answers.
• Search history and preferences — recent analyses and app settings.

This information is held in on-device storage (SQLite) and is removed when you delete the app.

Data sent for AI analysis

To analyze a job description, tailor a resume, or draft a cover letter, the relevant text is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Kinetic Origin's Cloudflare Worker, which routes it to AI models for processing. Specifically:

• Job-description text you paste, and the portions of your resume needed for tailoring, are transmitted only when you trigger those actions.
• This text is processed in real time and is not stored after the response is returned.
• We do not attach your name, email, or any account identifier to these requests — we don't have them.

On-device voice

Interview practice uses on-device speech recognition (speech-to-text) and text-to-speech. Audio of your voice and the resulting transcripts are processed entirely on your phone and are never uploaded. No internet connection is required for the voice components.

Subscriptions

Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled by Apple or Google — we never see your card details. To enforce subscription limits, the app uses an anonymous device token (stored in the device keychain/keystore) and the Qonversion SDK for receipt validation. This token is not linked to your identity.

What we do not do

• No accounts, sign-ups, emails, or passwords.
• No advertising and no ad SDKs.
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that collect personal data.
• No selling or sharing of personal information — we don't collect it to begin with.
• No location tracking.

Third parties

Dossier relies on a small number of infrastructure providers strictly to deliver the service:

• Cloudflare — hosts the API that processes AI requests. Text is processed transiently and not retained.
• AI model providers — used to generate analysis, resume, cover-letter, and interview content from the text you submit.
• Apple / Google / Qonversion — handle in-app purchases and subscription validation.

These providers process data only to perform their function and do not receive personal identifiers from Dossier.

Children

Dossier is a productivity tool for job seekers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your control

Because your data lives on your device, you're in control: delete individual applications, your resume, or transcripts inside the app, or remove all data by deleting the app. Manage or cancel a subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
