Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Dossier (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by Kinetic Origin LLC ("we," "us," "our").

2. What Dossier is

Dossier is a job-search productivity tool. It analyzes job descriptions, helps you tailor resumes and cover letters, tracks your applications, and lets you practice interviews. Dossier uses artificial intelligence to generate this content.

3. AI-generated content — no guarantees

The analysis, resume suggestions, cover letters, salary context, and interview feedback the App produces are generated by AI models and are provided for guidance only. They may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything before you rely on it or send it to an employer.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to submit content you don't have the right to use.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the App or its supporting services.
• Abuse, automate, or attempt to circumvent usage limits or the subscription system.
• Submit content that infringes the rights of others or violates any law.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the resume text, notes, and other content you provide. As described in our Privacy Policy, this content is stored on your device; job-description and resume text is transmitted transiently for AI processing and is not retained afterward. You are responsible for keeping your own backups — content stored only on your device is lost if you delete the App.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Dossier offers an optional Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

Prices and features may change; we'll give reasonable notice of material changes to paid features.

8. Free tier limits

The free tier includes a limited number of analyses, tracked applications, and previews. These limits may be adjusted over time to keep the service sustainable.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its underlying software are owned by Kinetic Origin LLC and protected by law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App — not to copy, resell, or redistribute it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kinetic Origin LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Changes to the App and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Kinetic Origin LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
